5.6 million businesses currently use QuickBooks to manage their accounting, get invoices paid, accept payments and much more. We’re not surprised at that number, considering that QuickBooks features are designed to improve the way you run your business.
If you’re a new small business owner and made the decision to invest in QuickBooks software, we applaud you! QuickBooks has the added benefit of growing with you as your business grows– they offer an ecosystem of additional apps and integrations to use with it. You may, however, question whether you’re managing the software correctly and using all of the features to the maximum benefit. That’s where a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor comes in!
A Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor is someone familiar with the QuickBooks product line who has joined the QuickBooks ProAdvisor program and passed a certification exam. With this certified training, a ProAdvisor can set up his new QuickBooks accounting files correctly and manage accountants effectively so you can focus on your business– and save time in the process.
Our team at Capri Bookkeeping Solutions is certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors who offer insightful consultative support for all versions of QuickBooks Desktop and Online. (Check our our reviews here). This support option provides you with a designated Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor to support your business from initial set-up to ongoing support and maintenance. With several QuickBooks options to choose from, we can also help you select the best plan to maximize your business strategy.

Each year the Internal Revenue Service issues a new Form W-4. The new form issued this year reduces the form’s complexity and increases the transparency and accuracy of employee tax withholdings. While it uses the same underlying information as the old design, it replaces complicated worksheets with more straightforward questions that make accurate withholding easier for employees.
Allowances are no longer used for the redesigned Form W-4. In the past, the value of a withholding allowance was tied to the amount of the personal exemption. Due to changes in the law, currently, you cannot claim personal exemptions or dependency exemptions.
2020 Form W-4’s are now available and considering these changes we recommend that employers share the form with their employers. While employees are not required to provide a new Form W-4 each year, it is in their best interest to review the form as withholdings may change.
